N.B. This DA went before council on Wednesday 3 August, 2005. A goodly number of B&DCA members attended the meeting, and four spoke against the DA. Councillor Wendy McMurdo eloquently proposed that the DA be rejected; Janelle McIntosh equally convincingly seconded the motion; Garry Whitaker showed his command of the issue in lending further support. The motion was carrried unanimously: the DA was unequivocally rejected.
